hey kuma - thanks a lot!

problem is the quality of the photo isn't sharp enough for use with what I want to do with it - at 2560 x 1600 and higher res it's just too low - thanks anyway though :)

well no-one ever taught me, it's through experimentation, trial & error and too much free time

I don't follow tutorials so I can't really point you in any general direction but a popular resource seems to be psdtuts so google that and it should help you in someway
